LIAM WONG:

Liam is a current high schooler and part of the JCArts program. Inspired by the intersection of ecology and the visual arts, Liam enjoys creating oil paintings which depict the relationship between humans and birds. He draws inspiration from the paintings and techniques of master portrait painter John Singer Sargent in hopes of limiting brushstrokes to create a more expressive atmosphere. In the future, he hopes to build his foundation in science and art and become a scientific illustrator. In doing so, he hopes to help others accurately interpret and visualize complex information and to work with scientists, museums, and nature organizations.
